Recognising the product, the water body and the time window before acting.
OpenModule 2
Oil properties and behaviour at sea
Density, viscosity, pour point and flash point drive how a spill behaves.
OpenModule 3
Mechanical response: open sea, coast/archipelago, rivers, land
Match booming and recovery to the site — sea, archipelago, river or land.
OpenModule 4
Occupational health and safety (PPE)
Chemical exposure, slip and drowning risk, and sometimes flammable vapour.
OpenModule 5
Organisation and command (Response Commander / OSC)
Who commands the response, and who runs tactics on scene.
OpenModule 6
Equipment: power packs, skimmers, sorbents, workboats, booms
The basic unit set, and returning it to readiness after use.
